"We viewed several houses and registered with various estate agents. Some agents would call every time a new house came onto the market regardless of our brief which became very annoying and some never called back when promised or were impossible to get hold of. Newmans was the perfect balance. They always called back when promised and when they did it didn’t feel like a pushy sales call. We always dealt with the same people so they became aware of what we were looking for. Newmans called the day the house we eventually purchased went onto the market. It turned out to be our perfect house, just to the brief we gave Newmans. After our offer was accepted Newmans were in constant communication and we felt that we did not have to chase them up. After a difficult start in a falling market, with a revaluation within the first 3 weeks, the price relined, and the viewings started to roll in. I found the majority of the staff at Newmans both friendly and efficient, both showing my property, but also once I had an offer, helping me to find a property that matched my requirements. They negotiated my purchase for me, helping to keep the price at a level which I could afford. In fact Becki at Newmans was outstanding. Always polite, but with a core of steel when dealing with solicitors and other professionals. She found my new home for me, in her lunch hour, checking the newspapers and internet for me! Just one note on sales chasing, after Kerry went to admin I was never contacted by anyone else other than Matt. Did you have a shuffle around or was this just an error on Newmans part? The one small problem was the state it was left in. 3 days of cleaning and 3 trailers to the tip later I can now start to think about decorating."
