An agent might have a great website and that is fine, but do they subscribe to the most effective property portals? Because this is how buyers are directed to your property when they search using the search engines such as Google etc. Four of the UK's market leading sites are Rightmove, Primelocation, Propertyfinder and Guildproperty. Good agents list their clients property on one of these, but very few list on all, as we do.

Local and National Press
Make sure that you select an agent who advertises properties similar to yours in the local press. Chances are that they will already have a large pool of qualified buyers who have enquired about similar homes to yours. Although internet is fast becoming the primary route to search for a property newspapers should not be overlooked. An agent that has a strong focus upon a specific geographical area is far more likely to capture more enquiries than an agent that is diluted across the country.
