Newman Estate Agents was established in 1998 by Sean Newman in an office, which measured just 6ft wide. But a professional service combined with a hardworking attitude equalled a meteoric rise to the top and now Newman’s are Coventry and Warwickshire’s leading independent estate agents.

 

Newman’s was formed following the take over of Garner & Co. In 1990, when many estate agents were suffering due to the recession, Newman’s was expanding the team and moving to larger premises on Regent Street in Rugby. It was at this time that the name of Newman Estate Agents was officially decided upon.

 

Newman Estate Agents wanted to offer a complete property service and so two new business were formed, Newman Mortgage Services and Newman Residential Letting. Both were immediate successes. Having the ability to offer mortgages from all the major banks and building societies, advise on the most suitable mortgage and be open seven days a week, it made sense for buyers to keep their mortgage arrangements under one roof.

 

The Residential Letting side was equally successful with many property owners facing negative equity or being unable to sell their property until prices picked up, letting seemed to be the logical answer.

 

In 1997 Newman’s moved into its new, much larger, and very prestigious offices on the corner of Regent Street and Church Street in Rugby. The building had previously been a shoe shop and over the years it had become derelict. The offices were transformed and Newman’s promptly moved in with an official opening ceremony. This was seen as a revolutionary step as few Estate Agents outside of London had committed to an office anywhere near the size of this flagship showroom.

 

Each year, Newman’s saw considerable growth and were the first in the industry to introduce computers. Newman’s Innovation, forward thinking and hardworking team has earned them an enviable reputation and their name is not only known locally but nationally with a string of awards and recognition in national newspapers including The Sunday Times.

 

In recent years Newman’s has launched several new office locations including Coventry, Leamington Spa and Solihull. After encouraging and then acting upon feedback from our clients Newman is now a total solution property services company that now offers…..

A defining moment came in 2004 with a full staff consultation to get a better understanding of where the business was going and how it was going to get there. With input from all team members Newmans radically changed its Vision, Mission Statement and Goals. Within 12 months Newmans were crowned The Best Estate Agents in the UK, Best Small Estate Agent and Best Residential Letting Agent.

2007 Newman introduced a senior management team including a Managing Director and Divisional Directors. With a view to growing the business and penetrating new markets Newman has now launched a revolutionary franchise model that is soon to go Nationwide.
